ATKINSONS is proud to revive one of the most legendary perfumes from its historical archives: the heavenly White Rose. The fragrance premiered in 1910 and became a legend as the favourite fragrance of the last Russian Empress Aleksandra Feodorovna Romanova. If it is true that a fragrance can say more about a person than his handwriting, then hardly any perfume tells a more captivating story than this one.

"Alix" - A woman like a rose
Empress Aleksandra, with her delicate complexion, her softly flowing hair and her enchanting charisma, was regarded as the most beautiful throne wife of her time. She was born as Grand-Ducal Princess Alix of Hesse and Rhine and later as wife of Tsar Nicholas II. known under the name Aleksandra Feodorovna Romanova - Empress Alexandra of Russia. The couple was - most unusually at that time - united by real, deep love. Nicholas simply and tenderly called his tsarina "Alix":
Her greatest passion was one thing above all - flowers! Every day, an unimaginably magnificent bouquet was delivered from the Riviera to the Czar's court. In spring, whole train wagons with flowers were brought from Crimea to decorate the imperial residences and rooms in which the tsarina preferred to stay. Her beloved perfume "WHITE ROSE" was always within reach - of course in a beautiful, handmade bottle especially created for her, which can be admired today in the Tsarskoe Selo Museum in St. Petersburg.

The combination of the formative radiance of White Rose with the gentle notes of raspberry and lychee exudes ethereal seductive power right from the start. A warm chypre chord of patchouli and white musk lends sensual depth and is rounded off with seductive vanilla notes. A magnificent bouquet of peony, freesia and jasmine blossoms enchants with brilliant freshness and flowery richness.
