Brand Portrait: Couto
The brand Couto was founded by Pharmacist Dr. Alberto Ferreira Couto. Already in 1932 he created together with a friended dentist a tooth paste. The aim was to develope a medication against receiding gum. The quality of the tooth paste was of such high quality, that it reached popularity very fast. Still, the term ?Couto Paste? remains as the synonym for tooth paste in Portugal.
