D.S. & Durga - Crystal Pistil
Enhancers are a fun way to make transparent fragrances that can be worn alone or layered with whatever someone else is digging at the moment. D.S. & Durga wanted to make a soft crystalline perfume that highlighted the humid parts inside of a flower. Their muse was a memory of orange blossom water liberally sprinkled in the air upon entering a market on the back streets of Fez in Morocco. Orange Blossom water is shockingly inviting—like the smell of fresh-baked bread. The orange blossom water should be worn like a perfume but it doesn’t last all the time. And the oil you extract from the flower, though lovely, doesn’t have the same balmy water vibe. Crystal Pistil is an attempt to make that fresh humid flower note last and last in all its crystal glory.
