Floris - Private Collection - Leather Oud
Leather Oud is inspired by the very early days of the fragrance house, when new fragrance oils would be delivered to Floris in small leather cases, the scent of the buttery leather mixing with the scent of the oils and essences in the cases once opened. This fragrance captures that special mingling of aromas - the smooth, crisp leather and the precious essences of sandalwood, and rose.
THE SCENT
Young, new leather exudes a warm freshness that is very similar to some aspects of oud oil, especially its raw, sexy smokiness. Leather Oud capitalizes on those similarities and harnesses them to produce a smooth, smoky oud aroma. Resinous amber notes send a shaft of golden, honeyed light through the composition, flooding it with airy sweetness and adding texture and depth to the woody base. Unlike many commercial fragrances, Floris Leather Oud actually contains genuine oud oil from sustainable sources, notably plantations of oud wood in Asia. Precious and rare, it adds a smoky dimension to the fragrance that will enthrall and captivate the senses.
