The olive tree plant can be found all over East Asia: the fragrant trace of the exotic blossom extends from the Himalayan mountains to China, Taiwan and Cambodia to Japan. In Asia it is traditionally used for culinary purposes, for example for delicious osmanthus jams, cakes and liqueurs or to flavor tea, wine and other drinks.
The delicate blossom from the Far East is a precious treasure, not least for perfumery: its wonderfully sensual, fruity-milky scent is reminiscent of velvety apricots and peaches - and goes particularly well with leathery scents in perfumes.
