The fragrance
The fragrance opens with a marvellous garden of Mediterranean fruits ripened in the Sun of Italy. Sicilian lemon, grapefruit, green mandarine... furthermore, you will find Aldehyde notes and ylang-ylang in the heart note, and finally Cypress from the Tuscan gardens in the delicious base note. Eau d'Hadrien is an expression of Annick Goutal's eternal love for the South. The fragrance is inspired by Marguerite Yourcenar's novel "Memories of Hadrien", a great literary interpretation of the famous emperor´s life. This legendary unisex perfume created in 1981 is really universal and timeless and is reminiscent of the wonderful freshness of citrus fruits in the shade of a lemon tree. Many world-famous pop stars and celebrities wear and really worship it: For example, it is said that Tom Cruise and Leonardo di Caprio love Eau d'Hadrien, as well as Madonna, Céline Dion, Prince Charles, Catherine Deneuve, Tina Turner and Sharon Stone...
