Jusbox Perfumes - Classical Collection - Good Morning
"The calm atmosphere created by this sweet melody guides us through the moment of awakening, where we gently float between dream and reality. That one moment of comfort that we wish would never end."
- V-Monkeys 1982
"Morning Mood" is a piece of music by Edward Grieg, a nineteenth-century Norwegian composer. Grieg wrote the incidental music to Ibsen's poem in 1876, which tells the story of young Peer Gynt, a dreamer who has many adventures. The composition "Morgenstimmung" describes Peer's enchanted view of the world and his amazement at the beauty of a sunrise he observes during a quiet and relaxing walk. In an idyllic moment, the soft and delicate sound of the flute, accompanied by oboe and string instruments, becomes a caress for the soul, seized by an extraordinary and irresistible feeling of harmony. A refuge where regenerating warmth can be felt: like a dreamy moment from which you don't want to wake up so quickly. A bit like the arrival of the new day that wakes us with its gentle greeting.
For "Good Morning", perfumer Dominique Ropion has created an olfactory melody inspired by the high and low notes of the musical composition. The sweet sound of the flutes accompanied by the oboe is interpreted by the contrast between yellow mandarin and aquatic notes that embody the fresh morning breeze and gentle morning dew. A luminous heart of magnolia blossom and Egyptian violet flower absolute creates a hypnotic effect that enchants the senses and immerses them in a state of complete tranquillity. In the base note, cashmeran and frozen musk create the masterful balance between consciousness and subconsciousness - The Dream.
