The motif of the flower is very present in the work of the passionate nature observer René Lalique. Lalique's Crystal Edition 2021 pays homage to the floral imagery of the legendary Art Deco glass artist.
The flacon
A delicate peony (French: Pivoine) unfolds the splendor of its crystal petals. The carefully cut, gently curved flower petals appear as if they were carved by a sculptor from the satined crystal. The delicious perfume nectar from the heart of the bottle shimmers through in a soft, floral shade of red.
Traditionally sealed with Baudruchage and a golden thread around the neck of the flacon, the artfully crafted perfume bottle is crowned by a spherical crystal cap that appears like a mystical dewdrop hovering over the flower.
The fragrance
Also the perfume in the Pivoine flacon (the iconic fragrance classic Lalique de Lalique) is very focused on flowers: a lush bouquet of rose, jasmine and iris blossoms, caressed by the essences of delicate spicy cloves, buttery pears, fruity blackberries, crisp blackcurrant leaf, delicious vanilla and creamy sandalwood.
