Luxery Overdose - Absolu d? Absolument Parfumeur
Composed by Pascal Rolland in 2016, the story of Luxury Overdose is somewhat shrouded in mystery. With the company's credo of finding the world's rarest and most luxurious raw materials and working them up into golden elixirs, the only credible story for the existence of Luxury Overdose is that the perfumer wants you to experience the scent of luxury itself. No more and no less than that.
Opening with a scintillating yellow tangerine, the scent develops into a slightly bitter, liquorous take on the wormwood note, cosseted on either side by powdery resins, vanilla, musk, and buttery yellow florals. It is at once sumptuous and refreshing, providing you with an oriental that can be worn most comfortably outside of the boudoir and yet gives you that edge of Eastern exoticism that seduces. The materials smell fantastic - high quality, buttery floral notes mingling with pure, green ones, and all on top of the equivalent of a featherbed. The ultimate in luxury - an overdose of it, indeed.
