The scent of old Florence is one of great learning and craftsmanship, rife with the smell of aged, noble paper and the leathery scent of tanneries and fine leather shops crowding the Pontevecchio. Florentia captures the intensely evocative smell of woods, leather, and paper of old Florence, with a floral heart of austere Florentine iris surrounded by sandalwood, clove, and styrax. The scent is leathery, woody, but also slightly powdery and rooty thanks to the noble iris. It smells both silvery (iris) and brown (stout, aged libraries and piles of fine leather), a total pleasure for the senses.
