Robert Piguet - Bandit Suprême
Bandit Suprême is the perfectly formed resurrection of Piguet's once scandalously staged perfume icon. At his unforgettable 1944 fashion show, Robert Piguet's masked models shattered perfume bottles - a chypre fragrance spread through the hall, and the unbridled explosive power of its presentation made it a success: Bandit! The formula of the original fragrance, created by perfume legend Germaine Cellier, underwent several, no longer comprehensible, transformations over the decades. Finally, Aurelien Guichard, in-house perfumer of Piguet Parfums dedicated himself to researching Cellier's original formula. Reviving Bandit became a long-term project, and finding a formula as close as possible to the original fragrance became a mission of the heart. As a stunning result of this devoted work, Piguet Parfums presents Bandit Suprême - the brilliant closest possible approximation and olfactory renaissance of the iconic Bandit perfume.
The fragrance:
Original and intense, Bandit Suprême shines, infused with leathery green bitter notes of galbanum on which citric tones shine like dancing sunspots in a wild green leafy bouquet. Ambroxan and jasmine, seductively soft and of a dreamy sweetness, steer in, taming Bandit Suprême and giving way to a deep animalic base, marked by musk and patchouli, but finally captured and rounded by oakmoss. Bandit Suprême de Robert Piguet is a great fragrance experience, a cult perfume whose revolutionary chypre character shines unbroken today as it did then.
