Régime des Fleurs - Pour Tous - Glass Blooms
Satin. Confectionery. Fragile.
Glass Blooms is a satin-weighted confectionary of air and spun sugar. Fragile Riesling grapes are nestled in the silky embrace of muguet, tea rose, and peony, an innocent posy of the most innocent of flowers. The opening reads like a rite of spring. Sensuous, honeyed ylang acts as a bridge into sensuality, represented by its creamy, musk tonka bean base. A beautiful scent inspired by a beautiful quote, as here: ?[These] flower petals look as if they'd quiver at the nearby buzzing of a bee. As botanical specimens they can be admired; as glass replicas, they are wondrous'. -Edward Rothstein, cultural critic, on the 19th-century botanical studies of Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka at Cambridge.
Notes: Riesling grape, muguet, tea rose, peony, ylang ylang Nossi-bé, sandalwood, tonka bean absolute, ambrette and musk
