Roja Parfums - Burlington 1819
Like pearls in a necklace, the decorated shop windows of the Burlington Arcade line both sides of passing pedestrians. Located in the heart of London, the richly decorated historic beauty of the arcades, which opened in 1819, stretches out under the protection of their glass canopy, showcasing the most exclusive luxury items of contemporary fashion trends. A characteristic fragrance subtly fills the historic arcade - created by Roja Dove as an omnipresent olfactory signature, it deepens every visit into an unforgettable, associative experience that can also be found in Roja's flagship store located here. To celebrate its fifth anniversary at number 51 of London's famous arcades, fragrance poet Roja Dove has created a special composition. An overt homage, his Burlington 1819 fragrance pays tribute to the year it was created, its history and the incomparable flair of the Burlington Arcade, whose unparalleled magic transcends the centuries and, like Roja's perfume creations, is dedicated to unconditional luxury.
The fragrance:
Brightly flashing, the first bars of Burlington 1819 immediately transport you into Rojas' exquisite world of fragrance. They describe the elegance of historical architecture paired with the atmosphere of remarkably staged shop windows in an olfactory equivalent of juicy grapefruit tones alongside green lime and sweet tangerine hints. A fresh mint note intensifies this melodic opening and hands it over to a sparkling golden rum note, whose beguiling sounds are flanked by invigorating ginger and fine spices, forming the energetic melange that is Burlington 1819's furious fragrance centre. Roja contrasts the dynamic impression of his fragrance, anchored equally in the past and the modern, with a graceful base. Amber and precious woods combine with soft vanilla and patchouli tones to form its resting pole, enveloped by benzoin and tobacco. Burlington 1819 unfolds as an intimate, delicately faceted citrus perfume. Its long-lasting personal note is one of Roja's most artful creations, evoking the luxurious ambience of the Burlington Arcade with its curved façades and daylit mosaic floor. Roja picks up on this mosaic in the gold embossing of the matte black Burlington 1819s box. The bottle concealed within is in keeping with the iconic design of the house, decorated with an emblem in the shape of the passage's graphically recreated historic portal. Crowned by a crystal-studded cap, Burlington 1819 perfects its sumptuous appearance.
