Sous Le Manteau - Cuir D'Orient
Cuir d’orient - oriental leather: With this perfume, perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer explores the sensual sides of fine suede. The fragrance is an enchanting love potion that seduces with oriental, leathery and resinous facets. The perfume is based on a 19th century aphrodisiac recipe from France.
Bergamot oil, orris, heliotrope, suede, patchouli oil, ambrette, vanilla CO2 abs, benzoin resin, opoponax resin, and musk.
There are two different types of outer packaging for this perfume: one is illustrated with an atlas figure, the other one with a caryatid. The atlas figure was created by sculptor Aimé Millet, the caryatid by André-Joseph Allar. Atlas and caryatids are artfully crafted components from classical architecture. Regardless of the picture motif, all packagings contain the same love potion perfume. Both motifs were photographed in Paris - as universal symbols of the eternal city of love.
