Tiziana Terenzi - Collection Absolut - Adhil
Cassiopeia boasted that her beauty was far more than that of the stunning Nereids who accompanied Poseidon, the king of the sea, wherever he went. This enraged Poseidon so much that he sent a flood to devastate the coast of the kingdom where Cassiopeia lived with her husband, Cepheus, and their daughter, Andromeda. Seeking counsel from the oracle, Cassiopeia was advised that the only way to appease Poseidon and stop the flood was to sacrifice her daughter, Andromeda. Thus, Cassiopeia chained Andromeda to a rock and stood back, waiting for her daughter to die. But before she could perish, she was rescued by the hero Perseus, who fell in love with her and became her husband. To this very day, on a clear night you can observe the constellations of Cassiopeia and Andromeda, and perhaps be lucky enough to spy one of its most beautiful stars - Adhil.
Adhil the scent is suspenseful, graceful, and possessed of a beauty as significant as her mythological role model. Jasminum officinale and star anise act together to form a spicy, electrifying arc of bright light that is joined to a rich, dark sandalwood and musk base. Heliotrope and ambergris provide a salty, powdery sparkle that glitters like stardust from a fallen star in the black velvet void of deep space.
