Tauer Perfumes - Sundowner
The waves of the Nile lapping gently against the shore of Elephantine Island. The diagonal rays of the evening sun fall on a stone terrace. Warmed by the heat of the past hours, the day can be brought to a pleasantly relaxed close here in the last light, and the cool cocktail glass, misted with thousands and thousands of fine droplet beads, glows orange-red in the fading rays. The scent of fruit artfully draped on its rim mingles with delicate notes of tobacco and the sweetness of natural scents from the surroundings. As the sun reaches the horizon and sinks, a first cool breeze refreshes the senses....
The fragrance:
With Sundowner, Tauer describes the enchanted minutes between light and darkness. The last warming rays of the day on the cheeks and the refreshing coolness of the night, his fragrance scenario takes place in the south of Egypt. On the banks of the life-giving Nile, citrus fruits, delicate sounds of cinnamon and elegant rose meet as Sundowners' fragrance prelude, guiding the senses to a centre of olfactory temptation. Cocoa and tobacco combine with the earthy-balsamic notes of Cypriol to create an intensely beguiling melange. Their spell is underpinned by the sounds of a creamy-warm base, from which sandalwood and tonka bean, but also ambergris and lovely vanilla can be picked out. As a fragrance from the house of Tauer, Sundowner was designed and created by Andy Tauer and is bottled and packaged by hand in Zurich. Sundowner's bottle references the traditional tile patterns of Egypt with its colourful floral design and picks up on the transition from brightness to darkness of night in its colouring.
