Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle - J.C. Ellena - L'Eau d'Hiver
Perfumer: Jean-Claude Ellena
From the beginning of his collaboration with Frédéric Malle, Jean-Claude Ellena wanted to use the Editions de Parfums as a tribune allowing him to highlight the minimal side of his writing. A few people made a parallel between this work, water color and chamber music. No matter what, after "Angéliques sous la Pluie", and "Cologne Bigarade", "L'Eau d'Hiver" is the occasion for Jean-Claude Ellena to show that his bare style is not only adapted to fresh notes. Here, he shows that a transparent and light water can be soft, warm and comfortable, without having the intrusive thickness of an oriental perfume. The transparence of water binds with the softness of white heliotrope, iris and honey for the gentlest composition imaginable.
