Pernoire - Mansa
To this day, Mansa Musa, ruler of the Mali Empire in the 14th century, is considered the wealthiest man of all time. His pilgrimage to Mecca, on which he was accompanied by his court and considerable gold reserves, led to inflation due to the gold he so generously put into circulation. Pernoire takes up the legendary wealth and generous nature of Mansa Musa in its composition Mansa as an olfactory metaphor and creates a unique fragrance.
The fragrance:
Developed from precious, natural essences, Mansa's elegant composition was selected as one of the finalists for the Art and Olfaction Award 2023. With a fruity opening of blackberry and pink pepper over powdery iris notes and seductive oud, Mansa unfolds as a graceful fragrance filled with sensual facets. Saffron-spiced rose petals flanked by amber and blackcurrant form the heart of the composition, emphasised by a combination of heliotrope with herbaceous moss notes and musk. Pernoire wraps Mansa in an elegant flacon decorated with a crossed lily symbol.
