État Libre d'Orange - Divin Enfant
As the brand says, what a sweet little monster! Bubblegum and sweet orange blossom and a shot of coffee to keep us all awake during the hell of entertaining small children. As we reheat the same cup of coffee five times, let us smile and indulge the charming little tyrant at our feet. He may have pink bubblegum in his hair, but he smells sweetly of his orange water bath last night and with one impish grin, we are ready to forgive him anything. This is a fragrance that may sound like a cheap olfactory joke - orange blossom, coffee, marshmallow, tobacco, and incense. But oddly enough, all the elements pull together and what we end up with is a powdery green tobacco scent with the trailing sweetness of bubblegum white florals and pillowy marshmallow, all doused in a cup of now-cold coffee. It is the scent of sleepless nights - coffee, sweeties, illicit cigarettes, all the things we need, really, to get us through the perennial fog of tiredness that comes with raising children. It has all the sense of humour and liveliness that we ourselves are temporarily missing.....
