Eight & Bob - Champs de Provence
Albert Fouquet, the creator of the Eight & Bob perfumes, was an aristocratic Parisian who produced perfumes exclusively for his own personal use and those close to him. Each perfume was born from his memories of a place or person whose exclusivity and distinctiveness he wanted to turn into extraordinary fragrances in order to preserve them forever. On this occasion, Fouquet wanted to fulfill the desire for an exclusive perfume for his dear friends Alessandro and Chiara. Alessandro and Chiara were an Italian couple who owned a villa in the beautiful southern French countryside of Provence, where they could relax surrounded by the aromatic scent of over 1,600 wild plants, flowers, fruit, and herbs.
Every spring, Albert Fouquet moved from Antibes on the French Riviera to the home of Alessandro and Chiara, spending time with them and enjoying the splendor of nature that stretched out in front of them. During one of his visits, as he was decanting one of the wines he produced from his own grapes, Alessandro told Fouquet that his next diplomatic post would be in the far-flung Philippines. Of course, he enjoyed being able to travel around the world through his work, but during his long stays abroad, he always remembered the beauty of Provence with a special sort of longing.
Some months later, when Alessandro and Chiara had begun their new life in the Philippines, Fouquet surprised them by presenting them with a private perfume, made exclusively for them, that captured the aromas and memories of their Provencal home. Champs de Provence contains all the magic of Provence in a beautiful green bottle, a scent that captures the aromatic delight of orange blossom, neroli, bergamot, and wild rambling jasmine vines, brushed by the salty Mediterranean breeze and a hint of the dry green mastic from the surrounding hillsides.
