Jean Patou - Collection Héritage - Deux Amours
In 1914, at the age of 27 years, Jean Patou founded the fashion house "Jean Patou, Couturier - Fourreur" in Paris. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the brand in 2014, three fragrances from 1925 were re-launched with which the successful story of Jean Patou fragrances once began: Deux Amours, Que Sais-Je? and Adieu Sagesse. Those three perfumes were, by the way, especially created for three types of women distinguishable by their hair colour: blondes, brunettes and redheads ...
THE FRAGRANCE
The green floral fragrance Deux Amours was originally dedicated especially to the blonde women. The theme of the perfume is the joy and excitement at the beginning of a new love:
"Are we to forever remain two courtly lovers whose hands seek one another? I tremble at the thought...."
Deux Amours opens with sun-kissed bergamot and neroli, resting on a delicate bed of rose, jasmine, tuberose and ylang, unfolding their beauty in the heart of the fragrance.
The base evokes memories of a majestic forest, where the scent of sandalwood mixes with resinous, warm styrax facets.
