Since 1925, the House of Jean Patou Paris has been home to four generations of Master Perfumers. Mr Henri Almeras joined the House in 1925, followed by Mr Henri Giboulet in 1940. Mr Jean-Michel Duriez, who joined the House in 1997, is still the current Master Perfumer. Jean-Michel's work consists of composing and creating perfume formulas that marry exquisite ingredients in a perfect harmony of scents. Composing a perfume formula takes an average of one to two years. After many different trials, the House Perfumer will be satisfied that he has created the winning formula. This is usually composed of a unique mix of ingredients personally selected by the Master Perfumer and which will from the basis of a new fragrance.
