Der Duft - Monopteros
16 meters high, built in the Greek style: A round decorative temple sits enthroned on a hill in the English Garden in Munich, offering a sublime view of the towers of Munich city centre. Its name: Monopteros. Almost two centuries after Leo von Klenze built the round temple made of Kelheim limestone at the behest of King Ludwig I, it became the source of inspiration for a special perfume: Monopteros.
"This little temple," explains Monopteros fragrance creator Anselm Skogstad, "is situated on a hill in Munich’s Englischer Garten. It is a magical place from where you can enjoy a charming view of the Englischer Garten and the skyline of the city. MONOPTEROS is an homage to Munich.”
