Il decimo - Italian for "the tenth". In numerical mysticism, ten is the number of perfection and completeness. The combination of one and zero stands for a fusion of everything and nothing, alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.
In the Bible, God sends the Ten Commandments to the people, in Buddhism there are ten recollections, in Chinese astrology there are ten heavenly stems - and for the Greek mathematician Pythagoras, the ten was even a perfect number.
