Late summer is the peak of the fig season in the Mediterranean.
Especially in Greece, where the fig has been revered for centuries. In Greek mythology, the first fig tree was created when the rebellious Syceus was transformed into a fig tree by his mother Gaia the goddess of the earth to save him from the wrath of Zeus.
"Athenean" is a revision of the fragrance "Figuier". Here the focus is on the fragrant wood of the fig tree. Aquatic green fig notes are balanced by warm, milky undertones of sandalwood and white musk.
