Baccarat is a small, tranquil town in the northeast of France. But for lovers of fine crystal art, Baccarat is of course one thing above all: the traditional French glass manufacturer.
The legendary French glass manufacturer Baccarat has been around for 250 years. 250 years - that's a quarter of a millennium! To mark this respectable anniversary, perfumer Francis Kurkdjian created a very special perfume in honor of the house of Baccarat: Baccarat Rouge 540. The number "540" refers to the temperature in degrees Celsius that must be reached during the melting process in order for the crystal mixed with 24-karat gold dust to acquire its legendary red color: the "Baccarat red" - an exclusive shade of red that is also reflected in the color design of the Baccarat Rouge 540 bottle.
