Black as a source of light: Black Gemstone draws its inspiration from the works of Pierre Soulages, where the deepest black captures light and returns it in shimmering reflections. The fragrance also carries the aura of the sacred black stone, said to have fallen from heaven and circled seven times by pilgrims. The result is a mineral, spiritual composition – like clay turning to stone in the smoke of incense.
The Fragrance:
The opening fuses an infusion of three cedars with the bright spark of Sicilian lemon. At the heart, dark myrrh tar unfolds – smoky, balsamic, almost sacred. Incense, teak and tonka bean finally petrify the composition: tender as damp clay, carried by a timeless mineral depth that lingers long on the skin.
