Xerjoff - Casamorati 1888 - Dolce Amalfi
The winds of history blow down through the picturesque streets of towns along the Amalfi coast, bringing with them the thrilling scent of past glory. The gorgeous little villages and towns dotted along this breathtaking coastline have been a magnet for admiring visitors ever since the days of the Roman Empire. It is a place of incomparable beauty, with winding roads snaking through green hills and past azure waters, threading through groups of houses the color of tutti frutti gelato. And now, finally, there is a fragrance that captures the specific, breathtaking beauty of the Amalfi coast: Dole Amalfi, meaning Sweet Amalfi. The first act begins with a burst of fresh green apple and a pink, quivering quince note surrounded by dusty, exotic saffron and cardamom. The heart of Dolce Amalfi surprises with a unique combination of sacred incense, spicy carnation and warm, sweet tolu balsam. In the last act, a warm oriental base looms into view, creamy with spicy resins, aromatic woods, and sultry vanilla bean. The fragrance ends as it starts, replete with the nobility of Amalfi's glittering past.
