"The cuticle is a very sensitive area. Tearing them off or cutting them incorrectly can lead to inflammation. Pushing the cuticle back with a boxwood stick can cause a bulge at the base and damage the matrix, causing it to curl. The safest way is to reduce the cuticle with a good stainless steel cuticle nipper with a jaw selected by true professionals and to care for it with Bastien's Ointment Révérence, which also contains arnica to reduce inflammation.
