With Mumbai Noise, Ben Gorham - founder and creative director of Byredo - presents a fragranced memory of the Mumbai of his childhood and the transformation it has undergone to this day. He creates a colourful mosaic that paints a picture of a city shaped by modern influences and its cultural heritage that fascinates with an almost inexhaustible wealth of facets. In collaboration with the photo artist Asish Shah, they created images that, like Mumbai Noise, capture the spirit of the city. Their interdisciplinary collaboration allows scent and photographs to merge into a complexly created vivid image of the city, filled with dreams and realities.

Mumbai Noise unfolds as a fragrance inspired by the abundance and vibrancy of Mumbai, luminous in oriental woody notes that captures the senses with its particular intensity. Byredo's Homage translates the colourful palette of the city's contrasting impressions into a striking interplay that opens with warm davana sweetness reminiscent of plums. Blended with the sounds of rich woods, they are juxtaposed with the harsher nuances of tanned leather and the comforting bitter aroma of roasted coffee. A tonka bean softly nestling in this melange harmoniously rounds off Mumbai Noises fragrance experience in Byredo's classically elegant bottle - and a hypnotic fusion of opposites brought into harmony is created.
