Goldfield & Banks - White Sandlewood
White Sandalwood is a composition that focuses on native Australian sandalwood, the so-called santalum spiccatum, sustainably produced for generations on the red earth of Northern Australia. S. Spiccatum is fresh, coniferous, and slightly spicy in aroma profile. Qualities that are enhanced in the topnotes by a judicious dose of sunny thyme and pepper. A gentle chorus of soft white florals in the heart gentle the fiery sandalwood, giving it a buttery floral feel, and saffron lends an exotic air of the Indian subcontinent. The drydown is soft, grassy, and fresh. What's wonderful about White Sandalwood is that it is a somewhat sheer, fresh take on a material that is usually very heavy. Its translucence and airy supporting florals make it a superb choice for a woody fragrance that won't weigh you down in hot weather.
