Lubin - Evocations - Brittany Breeze
Brittany Breeze is a fragrance whose name tells most of the story - it is a fresh, herbal aromatic scent that captures with astonishing faithfulness the salty sweetness of the herb-laden breezes that caress the coast of Brittany, Northern France. A bracing accent of iodine and sea spray laces the musky drydown with an almost mineral twang. Minty, anisic herbs play out over sea salt, mossy notes, and a damp, verdant base of galbanum, geranium, violet leaf, vetiver, and oakmoss. It is a chypre, yes, but one where distinct salty, green, aromatic, and marine aspects each play an important role. It also has a soft, spicy side that speaks to warmth, with a cumin-flecked tonka bean in the base contributing a slightly animalic creaminess.
