Gritti - Privée - Rialto

Named for perhaps the most famous physical structure in Venice, the Rialto bridge. Thousands of people from all over the world have been crossing this bridge for centuries, bringing with them a rich cultural melting pot of stories, passions, and private sorrows. It is a bridge that, if it could talk, might exhale the story of humanity itself from the depths of its cool stone.

The name Rialto derives from the Italian word "Rivo alto", which means high bank. The area of Rialto has traditionally been one of busy commerce and trade, a lively place full of busy people. The fragrance is equally lively and rich in culture. Rialto opens with a bright burst of sunny citrus fruit, followed by cool, sappy green notes, all denoting life and fertility. The heart is creamily floral, with a sultry combination of salty, florid lily, fresh rose, and a lemony, milky magnolia. Allow yourself to be swept away by this sunny, creamy floralcy - it is as relaxing as sinking into a bath or lying on the beach. Towards the end, ambery woods and musk arrive to swaddle the florals in a thick blanket of comfort and ease. Thoroughly alive and sensual, this is a transporting perfume, capable of connecting people as surely as Rialto bridge.
