Heeley Parfums Chiris
In 1768, Antoine Chiris founded one of France’s very first perfume and raw-material houses in Grasse – by the end of the 19th century it had become the world’s largest producer of natural fragrance materials. James Heeley pays tribute to this dynasty and its spirit of “l’excellence française” with iris pallida, once cultivated by Chiris alongside oakmoss in Tuscany and hidden in the very name of the house.
The Fragrance:
Osmanthus and radiant citrus open with a tempting, almost peach-velvet fruitiness. At the heart, iris pallida reveals its deeper, woody side, framed by cedar and a whisper of incense. Precious iris absolute is then woven into an oriental leather accord, which vetiver, sandalwood and warm amber draw together into an elegant, long-lasting finale. An iris-leather extrait of timeless refinement with a distinctly contemporary signature.
