A bolt of lightning strikes a juniper tree – and with it comes the question of whether its electric force will destroy, or awaken the tree to a deeper, more enduring life. For the Exceptional Extraits Collection, Quentin Bisch sharpens the scenario of the original Decision: at a concentration of 42 %, the choice becomes more urgent, more piercing, inescapable. Six weeks of ageing, two weeks of maturation and four weeks of maceration give the composition its dense, glowing depth.
The Fragrance:
The opening flashes across the sky like lightning: pink pepper and bergamot, honed by cardamom, neroli and cinnamon. At the heart, juniper smoulders, darkened by frankincense, myrrh and sandalwood, while rectified pine tar leaves a smoky, resinous trail. The base settles into warm permanence – patchouli and cedarwood carry vanilla and labdanum, ambery, life-affirming and with a commanding presence on the skin.
