Lorenzo Pazzaglia Incenso Notturno
A winter evening in an old hill town. The lanes are empty, breath hangs in the air, and from an open church door drifts the smell of cold stone, aged wood and smouldering incense. Incenso Notturno is Lorenzo Pazzaglia's step into that darkness – and, true to form, it begins in the light.
The Fragrance:
Lemon zest and bergamot open bright and clear, while white pepper and elemi resin pull in the first thread of smoke. The heart sinks lower: black pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg wrap around agarwood and damask rose, damp patchouli grounding the warmth. In the base the incense remains – carried by cedarwood and sandalwood, softened by vanilla, amber and musk. Sacred, earthy and in no hurry at all.
