Roberto Ugolini - Limonaia
Florence, late summer: behind the walls of a palazzo opens a limonaia – the light-flooded glasshouse where, since the Renaissance, lemon, lime and bitter-orange trees have been sheltered through winter. Roberto Ugolini captures exactly this image in a bottle.
The Fragrance:
The opening flashes bright: lime and lemon, cool and juicy, threaded with a fine wisp of frankincense that lends the freshness an unexpected, almost sacred dignity. In the heart the garden widens – bracing grapefruit and cedro, the old Italian citron with its thick aromatic peel, meet grassy artemisia and cool mint: green, alive, like a manicured Renaissance garden after rain. In the base the scent turns soft and lasting as jasmine casts a delicate floral shimmer over creamy sandalwood, holding its sun-warmed elegance on the skin to the very end. A lemon house in a bottle – an Italian summer on demand: bright, cultivated, quietly grand.
