Shay & Blue - Atropa Belladonna
Hypnotizing and beautiful - but beware of overdosing!
The Belladonna was once administered to vain ladies as a bizarre beauty treatment in Venice in the 17th century. The natural toxins of the rare plant dilated the pupils, giving the lady a doe-eyed, hallucinogenic beauty. However, the flipside of this is that Belladonna is extremely poisonous and if not handled correctly can be fatal....
THE SCENT
Don't worry: no toxins in this perfume! However, Atropa Belladonna is inspired by the poisonous Belladonna and its narcotic properties. So you know what's in store for you - a narcotic floral experience that will give you heart palpitations and dilate your pupils....with sheer pleasure.
The scent begins with the sizzling, decadent fruitiness of blackcurrant. The narcotic aroma of white narcissus or jonquils (daffodils) is next to unfold, with jasmine from Grasse providing some extra creaminess and indolic heat. In the base, there is a 1001 nights orientalism at work on your senses, with a rich, ambery vanilla and rich, chocolate-like patchouli. Enchanting and addictive, just don't go overboard with this one!
Atropa Belladonna is handmade in England and each batch contains about 1.4 kilos of pure narcissus and jasmine essential oil.
