It was very lively at the London docks in the early 19th century; everything which was exotic, rare and precious was traded here. Rare treasures from many corners of the world piled up there.
At that time, London was the storehouse of the world. The storages were full of spices, silk, feathers, rare woods, tea, fine porcelain, precious stones and metals.
The abundance, preciousness and elegance of those goods were the inspiration for the perfume collection "Trade Routes" by Penhaligon's.

Empressa is a feminine perfume composition surrounded by royal nobility, featuring many treasures from the big, wide world like blood orange, bergamot, mandarin, peach, rose, orange blossom, cardamom, pink black pepper, vanilla, sandalwood, incense and cocoa.
