Tauer Perfumes Geranium Absolue

For a long time Andy Tauer felt that geranium deserved its own perfume – a material allowed to breathe: leaf, flower, herb and powder, all present at once. The breakthrough came with a classical triangle of green herbs, tonka and a vanilla warmth: brightness above, warmth underneath – and suddenly geranium had the space it needed. It opened, became rounder and kept its vivid green-floral character. This is the luxury of an independent perfume house: the final decision passes through a human nose, not a committee. The perfume keeps the trace of a hand, a taste and a personal way of making.

The Fragrance:

Geranium Absolue opens bright and aromatic with bergamot and lemon, joined by dry herbs of coriander, rosemary and a dash of lavender – a fresh, green lift of immediate elegance. The heart unfolds Bourbon geranium in several directions at once: leafy, floral, rosy-green and softly powdery. The base brings the signature Tauer warmth of tonka and vanilla, cistus labdanum, oakmoss, soft woods and musk – fresh on first contact, warmer at the heart, polished in the drydown.
