The House of Oud - Klem Garden - Dates Delight
Sweet, succulent dates combine with velvety floral notes and tonka bean to produce a sweet temptation for the senses. An innocently soapy peony in the topnotes announces a gentle intention, of love and a sweet disposition. I don't bite, this little flower says. Sticky Riyà dates infuse the almond-like tonka bean with notes of sweet fruit, hay, and caramel, forming an accord that is almost edible. A surprise lies in wait in the base, though, a smoky labdanum supplying tones of leather and resin that works very well against the creamy vanilla, honey, and the powdered sugar facets of benzoin. A true delight for those who favor self-indulgence over self-denial.
