Unum - Délire De Voyage - Epicentro
As an inquisitive explorer, Filippo's experiences resonate like a powerful echo, reverberating and expanding. Hailing from the earthquake-stricken region of Marche, Filippo's first thematic exploration in Délire de Voyage is the seismic activity that rocked his homeland in 2016 and 2017.
EPICENTRO, an extrait de parfum, is the inaugural fragrance inspired by this natural calamity. Specifically, it pays homage to Bolognola, a tiny village nestled in the heart of Monti Sibillini National Park with a mere 138 residents. As the highest situated village in Marche, Bolognola bore the brunt of the earthquakes, a chaotic and potent event that disrupts lives, invading normalcy in a heartbeat.
Such external tremors amplify our internal ones, undermining the stability we take for granted and triggering a profound internal quake. Initial reactions of fear and suffocation give way to desperate flight, leaving behind possessions, memories, and essentials in search of safe haven.
In the aftermath, one's vision is obscured, eyes and throat irritated by the dust from the rubble. Desperation fuels the search for a dim, faint light, which becomes the sole beacon of hope.
EPICENTRO aims to be a catalyst, encouraging acknowledgement, processing, and reaction to the event through an appreciation for beauty. More than a perfume, EPICENTRO is an immersive artistic installation, stirring emotions and engaging all five senses.
The perfume bottle, designed to mimic the tremors experienced during an earthquake, is sealed with a precious replica of a fragment of rubble from Bolognola's town hall, collected by Filippo during his first post-quake visit.
EPICENTRO is not merely a fragrance – it's a mission to aid the recovery of Bolognola, a beacon of hope for its return to its original moniker, Bononia, the land of good things.
