V Canto - Sigismondo
In the home region of the Terenzi family near the Italian Adriatic coast, there is a striking fortress: the Gradara Castle. There, one of the most famous and fearless leaders in Italian medieval history ruled in the 15th century: Prince Sigismondo Malatesta.
Together with his wife, Princess Isotta, he ruled from Gradara Castle. During their reign there was a long-lasting siege by an enemy army. Although this army was probably a hundred times larger than the Prince's army, the castle could be successfully defended against the attacks thanks to his courage.
More than half a millennium after these events, V Canto launched a perfume that was inspired by the knightly character of the Italian prince - and proudly bears his noble name: Sigismondo.
The fragrance
Sigismondo opens with Italian saffron and the finest Ceylon cinnamon, as lively and powerful as its aristocratic namesake. The spicy vitality of the top note meets a majestic heart with notes of red patchouli, Cambodian oud, Bulgarian rose and Indian cypriol.
Like Gradara Castle, this unisex composition stands on a solid foundation in which the animal energy of black Indian oud is mixed with musk, ambergris and the sweetness of vanilla.
