Vilhelm Parfumerie - Morning Chess
Morning Chess is inspired by a memory of summer holidays that Jan, the brand's founder, shared with his grandfather and uncles in coastal Falkenberg, in Sweden. There, on the lush green grass and close to the sparkling water, they would set up a chessboard and spend hours in friendly battle with each other. The scent pays particular tribute to the early morning light of Sweden during those precious summer months: crystalline and invigorating, it seemed as if Sweden was saving all its share of light for just that particular time, and discharging it in one go. The fragrance is therefore based around a crisp mélange of leather and woods, enlivened with touches of green grass, smoke, citrus, and dark, musky resin. Like wearing a new leather jacket in the middle of a field of aromatic green leaves and hay, Morning Chess is an elegant new masculine.
