Carthusia - Intenso di Sandalo
Intenso di Sandalo marks a new chapter in the Intenso Collection – the project through which Carthusia invites contemporary perfumery's most respected voices to reinterpret the values of the Capri house. For the first time, the maison works with Master Perfumer Meo Fusciuni, who transforms sandalwood into a profound, meditative and contemporary olfactory narrative.
A fragrance like Capri at dusk – quieter, more meditative, deeply personal. Meo Fusciuni's homage to sandalwood as raw material, told through the eyes of a nomadic perfumer travelling between India, Japan, Indochina and the Mediterranean.
The opening is vibrant and luminous: Sichuan pepper delivers a spicy, sparkling spark, played around by pink pepper and an unexpected touch of licorice that adds depth and an intriguing contrast between sweetness and shadow. At the heart emerges the Mediterranean soul of the composition – immortelle, the golden wild flower of the Italian coastline, woven with iris, elemi and a breath of ambergris. In the base, sandalwood reigns undisputed: warm, creamy and magnetic, carried by frankincense, cedarwood and Haiti vetiver into a trail of great calm and refinement.
