Jean-Louis Scherrer - Scherrer
Born in Paris in 1935, Scherrer had originally aspired to a career as a dancer. but had to abandon those plans after an accident. Instead he became a fashion designer. Scherrer began his fashion career in the 1950s first at Christian Dior and later with Yves Saint Laurent. In 1962 he founded his own label and opened his own boutique in the heart of the fashion district on the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.
He was the darling of the Parisian fashion famous abroad and winner of the prestigious "Dé d'or" haute couture prize. Dé d'or" prize. Jean-Louis Scherrer expanded his creations to include accessories and perfumes. and perfumes.
