Gold Incense by Mancera is a soft, yet sultry floral oriental for both women and men. Picture armfuls of sweet, juicy oranges, candied violets and powdery roses wrapped up in a rustling pink paper made of the finest essences of the East; coffee beans, smoky frankincense, and syrupy Arabian jasmine. The coffee note, resinous and toasted at first, strikes an interesting tone of bitterness and smoke that cuts through the sweetness of the flowers, later softening and becoming milkier as the creamy sandalwood starts to drip feed into the base. Heady vanilla, spices, and resins give the scent a golden, crackling glow, like a spoon breaking through the burned sugar crust and sugared violets on top of a vanilla crème brulée.
