The idea for this perfume goes back to the era of World War II: When Ernest Daltroff, founder of the house of Caron, arrived on his escape from the Nazis and the Gestapo as an immigrant in New York and saw the Statue of Liberty, he had a splendid idea: he wanted to show his gratitude to the country that has given him freedom by dedicating a perfume to it.
