And it sure delivers - a spicy, tart opening of citrus, mint, and black pepper cleanses the palate in typical Creed fashion, establishing a subtle, almost aqueous freshness. This lies over a minty rose, dewy and crystalline, which in turn sits on a very handsome, aromatic sandalwood base. Lively, fresh, but also rich and comforting, Viking is clearly a very masculine fragrance, built to old-fashioned standards of composition and materials. The name and the fragrance takes it cues from the tough, manly, and brave figure of the marauding Viking of lore.
