Gritti's new fragrance, Fenice, is a tribute to the famous opera theatre in Venice, La Fenice di Venezia. One of the most famous and beautiful historic opera houses in the world, La Fenice was built in 1792 and has been since then hosting the most famous opera singers and the biggest operas. Exclusive to Germany, Austria, and the German speaking parts of Switzerland, the perfume Fenice pays tribute to the heavy red velvet curtains that come down over the stage at Fenice almost every night of the week. Opulent and rich, the perfume follows the texture and feel of these grand curtains.
Fenice begins with the excitement and energy of the singers being revealed on stage when the curtains first go up: sharp passion fruit and silky peach convey the intake of breath by the audience. Soft, sugared orange blossom and creamy, lemony magnolia create a tender floral heart full of romance, while a base of jasmine, woods, and musk hint at the shadows that lurk at the side of the stage. The perfume feels velvety, warm, and romantic, just like a night at La Fenice.
